How Do You Stay Ahead of Marketing Trends?

Does anyone else get overwhelmed with all the latest marketing trends?
TiKTok, InstaReels, Clubhouse, Threads, colour television ads. It's hard to keep up.
Here's what I have to remind myself, and I want to remind you too. There will always be a new, cool marketing trend. They are thrown at us thick and fast these days. You have to keep focused on what works for you.
First and foremost, make sure you have the foundations of a solid marketing strategy.
Your marketing strategy should focus on how your product or service will change someone else's life. How will your product make your ideal customer think, feel or behave? Whose life will it change and how?
For example, I am so passionate about helping businesses with their marketing, so they can grow, feed their family, focus on what they love doing, and will then change their world.
Once your foundation is set, then you can go and experiment with the newest, coolest marketing tactic.
While you're at it, try some old-school marketing tricks.
Don't worry about keeping up with the Joneses.
I'm not the coolest marketer out there. I'm a bit of a grandma really. My practices combine olden days marketing techniques with new (that I have to Google to help me navigate, just like you).
I sit here, typing this blog in my ripped skinny jeans, with my hair in a side part. I'm old school and I'm happy because a middle part and baggy jeans just don't suit me.
